The Artist in Residence Program at Sawtooth School for Visual Art is designed to encourage and enhance the creative, intellectual, professional, and personal growth of emerging studio artists.

The Wachtmeister Award
The Wachtmeister Award

The 2025 Wachtmeister Award is open to established composers and/or sound artists using acoustic sources. Eligible applicants will have worked professionally as a composer for at least the past 15 years with substantial national or international achievement in their field.

National Archives Foundation
National Archives Foundation

The Cokie Roberts Research Fund for Women’s History will support one to three annual fellowships for emerging and established historians, journalists, authors, or graduate students who perform and publish new research to elevate women’s history using the records held by the National Archives. This fellowship is intended to support the cost of travel and time to conduct research and publish works related to original research conducted at the National Archives.

Crafting the Future
Crafting the Future

Crafting the Future offers two types of grants to support BIPOC artists. The Artist Micro Grants provide $500 unrestricted funds for artist expenses,
while Macro Grants fund both new and existing projects that benefit multiple artists of color, aiding in art education, career growth, networking, and personal development.

This residency program offers Black and Brown LA-based artists a dedicated space and time to realize their creative visions.

Brooklyn Arts Council
Brooklyn Arts Council

The Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) is searching for a visionary Director of Artistic Programs, Learning & Engagement to spearhead innovative public programs and educational initiatives.

The Director will oversee artistic program development, promote learning opportunities, and enhance community involvement. Reporting to the Executive Director, this leadership position directly manages the Programs & Cultural Heritage Manager and Arts in Education Manager.

 Jonathan and Barbara Silver Foundation
Jonathan and Barbara Silver Foundation

In this grant program, the Jonathan and Barbara Silver Foundation’s goal is to encourage and support sculptors, whether emerging or established, and writers about sculpture.

Illuminations Grant
Illuminations Grant

The Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists is an annual $10,000 grant awarded to provide critical support to Black trans women whose work has often been under-recognized in the visual art field.

The Kitchen (Fellowship)

This eight-month Curatorial Fellowship provides the opportunity to work closely with The Kitchen’s curatorial staff and a wide range of artists working across varied disciplines.

Activist Residency Program

Foundation House, located in back country Greenwich, CT, opens its doors for up to 5 days to established teams of activists and change-makers (up to eight residents total), allowing these groups the time and space to be together under one roof to make meaningful progress in these beautiful and inspiring surroundings.
