DRAPER THINKS OUT LOUD
For 2018, Ronald Draper's #NOTxNORMAL collection visually represented how the War on Drugs in this United States has impacted and continues to influence the state of freedom for people of color.
It was told through a six-part narrative of Draper's personal experience with the ripple effect of drug usage, anti-drug propaganda, and the disproportionate penalties for drug offense in the black community.
This spring, #DraperThinksOutloud encourages viewers to consider what happens after all of that comes crashing down and the need for self-healing can start. Please join us for a public viewing of Draper's new works on Saturday, April 27th from 3 pm - 6 pm at the RD Showroom in the Bronx. In addition to unveiling a new body of work we are celebrating the fourth anniversary of owning and operating his own gallery, the RD Showroom.
